Lukas Reiter completed his apprenticeship as a media designer for image and sound in 2017 in Frankfurt am Main and studied directing/documentary film at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg where he got his diploma in 2025. During the protests at Hambach Forest in 2018 he was part of the campaign to save the forest. In 2019 his first feature-length documentary film ‘HAMBI - The fight for the Hambach Forest’ was published at ZDF - Das Kleine Fernsehspiel, opened the Duisburger Filmwoche and was invited to numerous film festivals. For the release of the film he founded the production company Transparent Film together with Maite Bengsch. During his time at Filmakademie Baden- Württemberg he released several short films and documentaries in the positions of director, cinematographer, editor and producer. His second feature documentary as a director and producer ´Wolken über Lützerath´ premiered at the 46. Filmfestival Max Ophüls Preis.


Maite Bengsch, born on Sylt in 1994, has been studying film production at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg since 2017. She previously worked for a year as a trainee at Wim Wenders' company and afterwards as a production assistant at his production company Neue Road Movies. In 2019 she worked as a line producer for the film ‘HAMBI - der Kampf um den Hambacher Wald’. During her studies she produced four documentaries, three scenic films and three image films. In addition to her studies, she works as a freelance producer - in 2019 she founded her own production company Transparent Film together with Lukas Reiter. In summer 2022, she directed the documentary feature ‘Radio Europe’, which deals with the question of identity in Europe.
